Chiranjeevi To Mediate Peddi Issue

The percentage system issue has created tension between producers and exhibitors in Telangana. Recently, exhibitors warned that they would not screen Peddi if the percentage system is not implemented.

To settle the matter, a panel with producers, distributors and exhibitors has been formed and several discussions are being held. However no final decision has been reached yet.

Since Ram Charan’s Peddi is releasing on June 4th, the issue has become very important for both producers and theatre owners, who have been waiting for a big film for months.

Telangana exhibitors are meeting Chiranjeevi today to explain their demands. Chiranjeevi is also expected to discuss the matter with leading producers.

A solution is expected before the weekend. Peddi is a sports drama directed by Buchi Babu and stars Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor.
